ADMISSION PROCESS & CRITERIA

Uttar Pradesh (UP) Polytechnic Admission is done based on a state-level entrance exam. UP Polytechnic Admission is conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh on the basis of the JEECUP 2023. The conducting authorities have released the UP Polytechnic Admission Test JEECUP dates on the official website. JEECUP 2023 exam dates have been released on the official website. The exam will be conducted from June 01 to 06, 2023. The examination will only be conducted for Groups A, E1, E2, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1- K8, and Group L.

Eligibility for Polytechnic Diploma

The admission eligibility criteria are as follows –

Domicile Rule

Polytechnic Diploma aspirants from Uttar Pradesh and outside UP can apply for JEE(Polytechnic) examination through Joint Entrance Examination Council(Polytechnic), Utter Pradesh (www.jeecup.nic.in), and are eligible for Polytechnic admission in Uttar Pradesh as:

  • Resident of U.P. and passed the qualifying examination from school/Board/University in U.P.
  • Resident of U.P. and passed the qualifying examination from school/Board/University from state other than U.P.
  • Outside UP domicile students whose parents are working in U.P. (Central Govt. job) and passed the qualifying examination from school/Board/University in U.P. are eligible for Polytechnic seat in Polytechnic colleges across the state.
  • he reservation policy of state government for Polytechnic admissions and Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is applicable to UP domicile students only. Outside UP domicile students are not eligible for the fee waiver scheme.

10th or 10+2 examination passed/ appeared with mathematics with minimum 35% marks

Modes of Admission in Polytechnic Diploma
There are two modes for admissions

1. Through Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Utter Pradesh (www.jeecup.nic.in) Diploma seats are filled through JEECUP counseling on the basis of merit list of entrance examination conducted by JEECUP every year.
2. Through Direct Admission under Management Quota/ Vacant Seats after counseling- As per the guidelines issued by BTEUP & JEECUP.
